January 14, 2015
January tends to be the month of broken promises. But why not make 2015 the year you pick resolutions you can totally keep? I started writing my own and with success in mind, I called on some of my favorite experts to offer up their beauty resolutions, smaller goals from the inside out for self-improvement in every aspect of our lives. Here is the advice that'll make this year your best ever.
Drinking tea makes me feel incredibly relaxed yet alive at the same time. I get giddy when I find new flavors yet I never take the time to make it! This year I will create a tea experience each evening. No microwaving, no tea bags. I will boil water, add tea leaves, and slowly enjoy each sip. Not only does tea have intense healing properties (from skin beauty to cancer prevention), but the entire tea experience makes you energized and alive! #beautyfromtheinsideout

When I was a child my father always said “Don’t let the turkeys get you down”. I always wondered what this meant. Years later, after my father passed away suddenly, I figured out the meaning of this saying..which lead to my philosophy of life. I learned that to be a beautiful, mentally healthy person, one needs to let things go. Don’t let the little things affect your inner beauty and your outer beauty will shine.

Here's my healthy resolution for 2015: "Upon waking up every morning, to sit on the floor and experience the sound of silence and of breath coming and going from the body. This allows me to tap into the unmanifested source of all life and creativity, which creates a peace that stays with me throughout the day, even when life gets hectic."

Anger blocks Liver chi from moving freely which causes pain, stiffness and an ugly face. Nothing makes me crankier than being mad at someone and not saying it. Fear that stops me from expressing anger and that blocks the love I want in my relationships. I'm resolving to let that stuck chi flow, speak my mind, and letting go of anger.

“The biggest change I am making to my morning routine for 2015, is making a conscious effort to wake up earlier than anyone in my house so I can have just a little bit of quiet time to myself to prepare for the day. Taking this time to compose myself, put on some concealer and blush and face the day in quiet is already paying off in happiness dividends, plus I feel fresh and ready for the day when everyone wakes up!”

My 2015 beauty resolution is to accept the things I can’t change, and change the things I can. Age creeps up on you, and forces you to reassess. I am accepting me for whom I am. Wrinkles and all, meanwhile I’ll treat my mind body and soul well with exercise, surround myself with like-minded positive people, keep up a healthy vegetarian diet, eat organic as much as possible while I continue to create and share products that protect and promote healthy skin, inside and out, nothing but the best for our largest organ the skin!
